Acrylic painting on 36"x48" stretched canvas, and completed over the course of one week. Only modification = levels adjusted slightly to match the colors of the real painting.

Ah, my first attempt with such a large canvas. I was so afraid at first XD. The model is a friend named Rob. This was one of my favorite paintings, despite numerous flaws (uneven paint, pencil lines showng through, stupid stuff like that), and I probably spent the least amount of time thinking it out because the idea came to me right away :D My biggest problem with it is the fish--they were supposed to be more ghost-like. Eh, maybe I'll go back and fix it later XD!

This was the piece that started my concentration idea for AP, "lost in thought." I found the title to be even more fitting after hearing "Cold Water" (by Damien Rice)

"cold, cold water
surrounds me now
and all I've got
is your hand

lord, can you hear me now
or am i lost?"




EDIT: that gray spot in the upper left corner is bothering me. I hate photographing paintings!!!!

The photo does this picture NO justice.

It would make your eyes bleed if you saw it in real life.

I was sent to the emergency room several times after you painted this.
